The Rankings...

#1 Rainier Beach Vikings
15-1 (13-1) Sound DIV: 1st
Rainier Beach claims the top spot in the rankings with an overwhelming influx of talent on the roster. Led by 3rd year 5'9 PG, Nahmier Robinson, the son of NBA veteran Nate Robinson, they should be ready to make a run for the title. The depth of this Beach team is massive. Highlighted by 6'6 SF, Jaylin Green, and 6'5 280lbs PF/C, Josh Conerly. Freshman SF, Jeremiah White 6'4, should continue to develop into a weapon for the Vikings.

#2 Garfield Bulldogs
16-0 (12-0) Valley DIV: 1st
Even with an undefeated record, and led by National talent, 6'1 PG, Koren Johnson, the Bulldogs are ever so slightly out edged by the depth on the Rainier Beach team. A Garfield vs. Rainier Beach title game is becoming more and more of a reality. Garfield is a historical powerhouse, they'll be dominate in the Metro League for years to come.

#3 Eastside Catholic Crusaders
14-6 (12-3) Mountain DIV: 2nd
Eastside Catholic will lose some serious firepower this offseason with the departure of 6'7 PG/SF, Louis Grante Halliday. With the current roster the Crusaders will have just 2 seniors on the team next season. In light of this, the Crusaders should strongly focus on team building and conditioning this offseason.

#4 Seattle Prep Panthers
15-4 (12-2) Mountain DIV: 1st
What a year for Seattle Prep. When you have seniors on the roster, it usually correlates to wins. Unfortunately for the Panthers, 9 players will graduate from the team and not return next year, including 6'0 PG, Braeden Smith, who will be taking his talents to play D1 basketball at Colgate. 6'6 Senior SF, Tyler Mrus, will also be departing. He currently has offers from Cal Poly and Pepperdine.

#5 O'Dea Fighting Irish
14-5 (11-4) Mountain DIV: 3rd
A year without current Duke Men's Basketball standout Paolo Banchero, and the Irish are back down to earth. They have great size and are a good shooting team. O'Dea will place 3rd in the Metro Mountain division so they will have to win the district qualifier if they want to compete for the Metro Title. Look for 6'9 sophomore SF, Miles Goodman, to have a breakout year next season.

#6 West Seattle Wildcats
10-4 (8-4) Sound DIV: 2nd
West Seattle has managed to stay competitive in the very competitive Metro League. 6'2 PG, Tre Pryor, will attempt to carry the Wildcats next season, sparing any major breakouts from fellow teammates. 6'4 senior SF, Isaiah Watts, had a great season for the Wildcats as well, including a 22 point performance against O'Dea. Ranked 12th out of all seniors in Washing State, according Brooks Scouting Report. Watts currently has one D1 offer, from Eastern Washington University.

#7 Roosevelt Roughriders
7-9 (7-7) Sound DIV: 3rd
An up and down season for Roosevelt sees them somewhat stumbling into the offseason. They look to revamp their roster with the transfer of slender, class of 2023 6'3 guard, Tyler Adams from Nathan Hale High School. The Roughriders should continue to develop undersized basketball prodigy, 5'6 sophomore guard, Jalen Dollar.

#8 Ballard BeaversBeavers
10-8 (6-7) Sound DIV: 4th
Ballard has played a good season, especially given expectations going in. After starting the season off with 3 losses in a row, the Beavers finished out the season going 10-5 fueled mainly by strong play at home. Half the current roster is seniors, with the rest mainly being third year players. 6'2 high academic PG, Ian Macpherson, is among the departing seniors. The team will need to look elsewhere for the leadership and mindset that the high IQ guard brought to the team.

#9 Franklin Quakers
7-8 (6-7) Valley DIV: 2nd
Despite another losing season for Franklin, they managed to qualify for the Metro Championship tournament. In the very top-heavy Valley Division, they were able to clinch 2nd place. Finishing behind Garfield, with far weaker teams below them. Franklin has a lot of depth on the team, but with 7 departing seniors, it will take some serious work to improve from this season. The Quakers should try to continue this winning narrative into the playoffs and offseason, as well as continue to develop their backcourt duo of 6'0 sophomore, Amari Harris, and 6'0 junior, Jamari Jackson.

#10 Lakeside Lions
8-8 (6-8) Mountain DIV: 4th
The Lions have won more conference games this season than any of their previous 6. This is largely thanks to the phenomenal play of 6'8 PF, Kamal Muhammad. As a Team Captain, the lights out big man has led Lakeside to one of their best seasons. A walking double-double who puts up big numbers every game. The D1 talented athlete has somehow gone under the radar, possibly due to lack of team wins. He reportedly has offers from Eastern Washington University and Whitman College in Walla Walla. The Lions will try to build off of this winning energy, going into the offseason.

#11 Lincoln Lynx
9-10 (5-9) Sound DIV: 5th
Lincoln was able to win 9 games this year after going 1-25 in the previous two seasons. The Lynx will lose six seniors this offseason, but with some depth on the roster they should be able to continue to win some games next year. Among the notable players graduating are 5'10 guard, Nate Grivas, and 6'2 SF, Team Captain Leo Poll. Lincoln's 3rd year back in the Metro League has been successful for the Lnyx, as they have solidified their place in the conference. However their record against other metro teams since rejoining the conference is an abysmal 5-29.

#12 Bishop Blanchet Bears
5-9 (5-9) Mountain DIV: 5th
Despite their record, this Bishop Blanchet Team is violently gritty and competitive. 5 of their 9 losses have been one possession games. The Bears are a well rounded team led by two senior playmakers. 6'3 dual-sport athlete, Kade Bergman, as well as 6'3 SG, Petros Zecharias. Zecharias has been a go to scorer for the Bears, especially this season, where he was able to average 15.0 PPG.

#13 Nathan Hale Raiders
2-14 (2-12) Valley DIV: 3rd
Not the greatest performance by the Raiders this year, but there is strong potential for the next season. With one of the most undersized rosters in the league, Nathan Hale was able to still somewhat compete this year. They were able to beat their division rival, the Ingraham Rams, in an important game for Hale. This offseason is going to be all about player development. 6'3 SG, Solomon Barnes, and 6'5 bouncy combo guard, Joaquin Robideau, are both 3rd year players that should be returning. Barnes has impressively played Varsity Metro Basketball since his freshman year. Raiders head coach Dominque Brooks continues to show his great skill at student-athlete development.

#14 Chief Sealth Seahawks
5-11 (3-11) Sound DIV: 6th
The Seahawks have a strong roster, however, it is not supported by enough wins. Still, an improvement from last year, a season where Chief Sealth only won 3 games. This season the roster is packed with talent. 6'3 senior SF, Jaelen Tatum, has been a bright spot for the Seahawks this year. 6'2 combo guard, Taien Jackson, is another weapon that will be departing this offseason. Chief Sealth has found a gem in 6'3 sophomore SG, Kofi Peyton. They should look to build around the young, volume scorer, going into next season. The Seahawks lack of wins vs expectations, earns them the 14th spot in the rankings.

#15 Ingraham Rams
3-16 (2-13) Valley DIV: 4th
A tough year for the Rams. They finish second to last in the Metro Power Rankings. Just 2 years ago, this Ingraham team was a scary matchup for other Metro teams. The remaining pieces of that team will be gone this offseason. The Rams try to send off 6'8 senior SF/PF, Denis Kadiric, with as much love as they could. The talented forward has been a huge part of Ingraham's team these past two seasons, and is a big reason the Rams have any wins to show at all.

#16 Cleveland Eagles
2-15 (0-13) Valley DIV: 5th
Cleveland's record in the last 3 seasons now sits at a meek 8-39. The Eagles desperately need to start picking up wins next season. One of the lights in the darkness for Cleveland this year, has been the consistent, and relentless play, that they have gotten out of 6'2 senior PG, Jeremy Beckwith. The Team Captain has tried his best to keep the Eagles competing this year.
